Some of you may know Loreley Restaurant and Biergarten in New York City. I opened the first Loreley on 7 Rivington Street on the Lower East Side on October 3, 2003. I simply brought my hometown's popular brew pub, "Kneipe", to New York, to massive positve response. Nine years later we have been copied numerous times and an out-right beer garden explosion has taken place. A recent article in the New York Times summed it up and quoted me as the pioneer of modern beer gardens in the City.

In June 2010, only days before the Soccer World Cup 2010 in South Africa, we opened our second Loreley in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It has the most beautiful beer garden, yet, and offers a great selection of live musical entertainmentgraphic loreley

This summer I signed a lease for Loreley #3 in Los Angeles. The new spot is housed in an old barn, formerly owned by the bombshell actress Jayne Mansfield. It was her pottery and garden center store. jayne mansfieldWe are converting the barn into a comfortable dining room with the original concept of the Cologne Brew Pub still visible. And of course It will have the most magnificent and luscious Biergarten in the USA!

The Last Gig

One recent Saturday I drove six and a half hours up to Stowe, Vermont from NYC to DJ a wedding in a bucolic, rural setting. foosh playingHundreds of (mostly British) people were dancing away the entire night, hanging from the rafters... What a fun crowd! Weddings are one of the few places where music is truly appreciated. Music makes or breaks the night!
Thank you Carrie and Nick for a wonderful Vermont experience! More about DJ Foosh

The Next Gig

I will play the Elfter Elfter Karneval Party at Loreley Manhattan on 11.11.11. Check the date!!! This will be our Ninth Weiberfastnacht party. For those who are new to the tradition: These parties are infamous. The 11th day of November marks the beginning of the "5th season", the Karneval Season. We have built the largest Cologne Karneval party in the US.
